The short version

Duplicate Cleaner collects nothing. It has no account, no sign-in, and no server. Every photo and video it examines is read on your device, compared on your device, and never leaves it.

What the app accesses

• Your photo library (read and write). Required to measure how much space duplicate copies occupy and, when you ask, to delete them. Deletion is performed through Apple's PhotoKit, which presents its own confirmation prompt; removed items go to Recently Deleted for 30 days.
• Notifications (optional). Used only to tell you when storage is filling up again, and before a free trial converts. Declining costs you nothing else in the app.

What is transmitted

Nothing. The app makes no network requests for its core function. Image and video analysis runs locally with network access explicitly disabled, so your photos cannot be fetched from or sent to iCloud or anywhere else during a scan.

What is stored

A small amount of information is kept on your device only: your scan settings, whether you have an active subscription, and an anonymous local identifier used to keep the app's interface consistent between launches. None of it is transmitted, and all of it is removed when you delete the app.

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We never see or receive your payment details. Apple provides aggregate sales reporting; it does not identify individual users to us.

Analytics and tracking

There is no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, and no cross-app tracking. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it has nothing to track.

Children

Duplicate Cleaner is rated 4+ and is safe for all ages. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
